Ted Herlinger has lived and worked in Anchorage for more than 20 years. He received his BA (honors, 1973) from California State University, Sacramento and his MFA (1993) from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Herlinger served in the Third Infantry Division of the U.S. Army in West Germany from 1960 to 1963.
He has worked as a chef, a commercial fisherman in Southeast Alaska, a U.S. observer aboard Japanese longliners in the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska, an English composition instructor for the University of Alaska Anchorage, and has taught art courses for the University of Alaska, Southeast.
Herlinger is a member artist of International Gallery of Contemporary Art.
